Letter to the Public from Sedona Fire Chief

Dear Citizen,

There have been many responses to a recent Postcard sent out to the District.  Here are some facts to help answer any questions.

An agenda item to explore the possibility of privatizing our Ambulance services was brought out by a Board Member at a public Fire Board meeting.  The post card you received was sent by the Sedona/Verde Valley Firefighters Association at no cost to the tax payers.  The Sedona Fire District staff’s position is not to change the current level of service the Fire District provides which includes Emergency Medical Ambulance Services.

To help keep our community informed with the Sedona Fire District I will continue to send information to you.   For your convenience I have attached factual information that can also be found on our website at www.sedonafire.org and go to “Facts from the Chief”.  You are also welcome to share this information.  If you wish not to be contacted with factual information please let me know and I will remove you from my contacts.  We have been very fiscally responsible and will continuously monitor our budget to provide the best services at the lowest cost.  Thank you for your ongoing support.

Safety First,

Nazih M. Hazime
