Keeping the Faith

Fukishima nuclear disaster continues

Fukushima nuclear disaster continues

Sedona AZ (July 27, 2014)The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor from a San Diego, California, reader:

In view of the events playing themselves out globally; ie, recent unbelievably poor decisions being passed into law by the Supreme Court, continued warfare in Croatia along with Israel vs Palestine, planes falling or being shot from the skies with hundreds of lives lost, fires, floods, contaminated drinking water from fracking waste products, continued radiation spreading throughout the Pacific Ocean from the Fukushima explosion in Japan, guns proliferate, to name only a few of the horrors that have become a part of our daily menu on the news of our nation and the world. This morning, I learned that last Friday, the U.S. authorized use of sonic cannons powerful enough to disturb and interfere with marine life hundreds of miles away, especially cetaceans, in order to search for oil sources off the nation’s Eastern Seaboard, according to an Associated Press report. I don’t know about you, but this sickens me. Consequently, it’s very hard to keep the faith when it feels as though the Universe has pulled all the plugs on sane decision making processes out from under us.

Directions which seemed so clear and straight forward have become confused and tortuous. End results promised months/years ago are still glaringly short of fruition. Why? Where’s the origin of the confusion? Are we operating with blinders on which prohibit us from seeing the view of more positive, life affirming opportunities presenting or have we been sold a bill of goods to begin with; and like sheep, we are being led mindlessly to the slaughter?

One gets so weary of turning the process around to reflect one’s self. Always one is led to believe the origin of the block originates from within. I do understand and believe that unless we look at, acknowledge and heal our own shadow material within, we will continue to project it outwards into the world and insist it’s not “our stuff” but theirs to deal with. If that’s the case, given the state of our world, we haven’t been doing an adequate job of dealing with our inner shadow for centuries. And the chickens have come home to roost! Just once I’d like to find justification for blaming the Universe instead of Self. Would it make me feel better to rant and rave at the seeming injustice, for the distortions in the road to manifestation? It is so hard to continue to believe. Maybe I’d do better to dwell in that “other world” out there– la, la land – a fantasy place in the mind buried in denial and avoidance. Nah, I’m too much of a realist to be able to pull that one off.

The Obama Administration has opened the Eastern Seaboard to  offshore oil and gas exploration and admits in its own BOEM report that 138,000 types of marine life including whales and coastal environments could be harmed but oil and gas needs were analyzed against those concerns for balance.

Why can’t our “teachers and guides” be more specific, and why don’t the things they tell us materialize in the timing indicated? What creates the glitch/block over and over again? Currently, I see it happening for so many around me. They are frustrated, as am I. We can’t all be wrong! Can we? As above, so below goes the saying. Astrology reports have been full of planets in difficult configurations; ie, squares and oppositions. The Uranus Pluto opposition and square plus the Cardinal Grand Cross have placed us in push pull scenario repetitively for years. Life has become very difficult for the 99%, and inner tension, anxiety and fear seep deeply into our souls. No wonder there has been so much acting out on our streets and in our neighborhoods. I question to myself why it has had to be so difficult to move through this major time in our species evolution. Why didn’t the Universe align the planets in such a way to give us an easier ride? As soon as I ask the question, I hear the answer. “We have not culturally been trained to learn through joy, only through pain.” When we get uncomfortable enough, we move, we create change and these planets are pushing changes at us right and left. My fear is that the masses would rather self-destruct than change to a new way of being in the world. But first they must wake up!!! As long as we refuse to do so, the chaos will continue.

In my impatience, and yes, disgust, I want results now, not in some nebulous future. I want some proof to show we can truly believe the information we are all receiving from Spirit. Our souls are weary. Give us one little bit of evidence  – a light in the dark – to reaffirm our faith in your guiding hand in our lives. Today, it is so hard to keep the faith….

  4. In memory of World War I – where the flower of a generation died because of a Serbian nationalist and a Russian czar:

The Parable of the Old Man and the Young

So Abram rose, and clave the wood, and went,
And took the fire with him, and a knife.
And as they sojourned both of them together,
Isaac the first-born spake and said, My Father,
Behold the preparations, fire and iron,
But where the lamb for this burnt-offering?
Then Abram bound the youth with belts and straps,
and builded parapets and trenches there,
And stretchèd forth the knife to slay his son.
When lo! an angel called him out of heaven,
Saying, Lay not thy hand upon the lad,
Neither do anything to him. Behold,
    A ram, caught in a thicket by its horns;
Offer the Ram of Pride instead of him.

But the old man would not so, but slew his son,
And half the seed of Europe, one by one.
