Sedona AZ (July 3, 2013)  – The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has compiled a list of homes and structures in the Peeples Valley and Yarnell communities lost as a result of the Yarnell Hill Fire. The 129 addresses are based on a direct survey and represent a visual inspection of each property.

The survey provided to YCSO does delineate whether the structure(s) were specifically a home; only two of the addresses are in Peeples Valley, the rest are in Yarnell.

YCSO is requesting that all evacuated residents call the Emergency Operations Center at this special number – 928-777-7481. Callers will be told if their home is on the list and be asked to provide information critical to assist emergency personnel in evaluating numbers of persons evacuated, verification that all persons have been accounted for, security considerations, contact numbers, and other issues necessary to assist us when evacuations are lifted. This number is for evacuees ONLY and your cooperation is appreciated.

Sheriff’s Office personnel have been meeting directly with evacuees at both the Wickenburg and Prescott Red Cross Shelters today to share this information.

Citizens can contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office with information or questions at 928-771-3260 or the YCSO website at www.ycsoaz.gov .

  1. What a shame. Those who lost their properties and their memories and their livelihoods are in need of our help and our prayers as much as the families who lost loved ones.
