Folksville, USA (Population/Readership 837)

Trailer Donated To Rusty’s Morningstar Ranch for Recycling Effort,  at “High Noon” as they say in some parts of the country, a deal was made.

Jody White, Cornville Resident and owner of Northern Arizona Digging Services LLC donated a storage trailer to Rusty’s Morningstar Ranch. This trailer will be used to store the contents of the litter bags containing illegally dumped highway litter. Rusty’s will separate the contents of the litter bags into two categories; recyclable and trash. They are providing this service and as a fund raising option and service to their community. Did I mention that Jody is a veteran of the first Iraq War? Thanks for your service to your country and community!

Rusty’s will donate all recyclable items to Sedona Recycles and they will dispose of non-recyclable items at local Cornville businesses that are offering their personal trash dumpsters for Rusty’s use. Windmill Gardens in Cornville is one of those businesses.

Rusty’s is providing this sorting, recycling service to assist the ADOT Adopt-A-Highway Permittee’s who pick up litter between Cottonwood and Sedona. They plan to extend this service to those Permittee’s between Cottonwood and Camp Verde plus Cottonwood and Jerome in the near future.

Don Hanks, owner of  Tire Pro Automotive and Neil Dixon, owner of Reese & Sons will collect all ADOT Adopt-A-Highway litter bags from the highway and deliver them to Rusty’s Morningstar Ranch for sorting. Tire Pro Automotive has stores in Sedona and Camp Verde. Reese’s has a store located in Cottonwood.

For information about how to participate in this effort, please visit our “Folksville Town Hall” located within Randall’s Restaurant, 891 S. Main, Cottonwood. The display of media stories plus 3 digital photo frames tells the story of our entire group effort between Cottonwood/Sedona, Cottonwood/Camp Verde and Cottonwood/Jerome.

Please visit www.FolksvilleUSA.com. Will you help us promote and advance this effort to restore the beauty to America the Beautiful and Arizona? Reply to this article, support the businesses that support cleaning up your highways and neighborhoods, volunteer to help! No effort or coin is too little to be of value!

  1. RMS will be counting all recyclable cans and bottle (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) as part of their process. This RMS activity will become a fund raising activity for them.

I suggest you visit our Folksville Town Hall located at Randall’s Restaurant, 891 S. Main, Cottonwood and see the diplay we have there. This is where people go to learn how to get involved.

  5. Folksville USA says:

Participants in the ADOT Adopt-A-Highway program must be 12 years old however our youth from birth to end-of-life are never too old to teach and participate in other capacities.

Home Depot also provided approximately 60 litter grabbers which have a retail value of $20. These grabbers are a necessary tool in collecting litter.

Any and all donations should now go to Rusty’s Morningstar Ranch and be ear-marked “Recycle trash for cash”. These funds will be used to support RMSR. The funds will be used/distributed at 10 cents per can, bottle, etc. (each recyclable item) that Rusty’s Ranchers recovers from the highway litter bags they are sorting from the Adopt-A-Highway participants.

If you know someone who will help Folksville raise $175.00 for 6,000 Folksville USA cards that would be appreciated. These 6,000 cards will be used to promote our group effort as I travel throughout the USA this summer.
