Marvin Curley guilty of first degree murder

Sedona AZ (January 15, 2015)On January 13, 2015, Marvin Curley entered a guilty plea to the murder of David Allen Christine in Coconino County Arizona Superior Court. Judge Mark Moran sentenced Curley to spend his natural life in prison.

On Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at about 5:30 in the morning, the Flagstaff Police Department and Coconino County Sheriff’s 911 Dispatch Center received a call from a motorist traveling on Leupp Road (FS 505). According to the caller, he saw what he believed to be a body off of the roadway in the dirt.

During the initial investigation, a detective observed indications of foul play. Although the victim carried no identification, detectives received information the man had frequented several Flagstaff homeless shelters.

Fingerprints taken from the deceased and submitted to a federal forensic laboratory identified the body as that of David Allen Christine, 56, of Flagstaff. Leads developed by detectives led to Marvin Curley as a suspect, followed by Curley’s arrest for First Degree Murder, plea and sentencing.
