Mine Safety in the New Year

When I entered the race for Arizona State Mine Inspector I didn’t know what to expect.  I had no idea how many passionate, generous, and wonderful people I would have the privilege to know along the way.  My wife Valerie, my mom Sally (whom many of you met on the campaign trail), and the rest of our family deeply appreciate all the help and support we got.

Though we didn’t get the result we wanted, I was proud to carry the message of mine safety to Arizona.  I still believe that we must work on keeping our miners safe and close down dangerous abandoned mines. I will not sit on the sidelines, but will continue to be a voice when it comes to the safety of all Arizonans.  I wish Joe Hart all the best in his second term and may God Bless all of you.

Sincerely,

Manuel Cruz
