Sedona AZ (September 22, 2015) – Flagstaff Arizona Justice of the Peace Howard Grodman will serve an unpaid suspension for 90 days after the Arizona Supreme Court adopted a judicial disciplinary panel’s recommendation.
The panel had recommended that Grodman be suspended for using government resources in his 2014 reelection campaign, campaigning on government property and confronting a court employee who supported his opponent. The Supreme Court adopted the panel’s disciplinary decision on Tuesday.
Grodman acknowledged many of the acts and called them poor decisions. The high court had suspended him with pay on September 10, 2015, while the justices considered the court’s recommendation.
Grodman resigned from the state Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee after the discipline panel said he should no longer hold that position.
He should resign.
