Felony Domestic Violence Leads to AZ Attorney Suspension

Sedona AZ (December 28, 2017) – Attorney Thomas A. Germuska of Phoenix has been suspended for one year for violating the Rules of Professional Conduct. He was placed on interim suspension on June 13, 2017.

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge of the Arizona Supreme Court accepted an agreement for discipline by consent between Germuska and the State Bar of Arizona that resulted in a one-year suspension.

On March 29, 2017, Thomas A. Germuska was convicted by a jury in Maricopa County Superior of aggravated assault, a class four felony domestic violence, and assault, a class one misdemeanor, domestic violence, arising from an incident that occurred on June 26, 2016.

Thomas A. Germuska’s one-year suspension was effective retroactive to June 13, 2017, the date of his interim suspension. He was ordered to serve a two-year probation period upon reinstatement that must include participation and successful completion of the State Bar’s Member Assistance Program. Germuska was ordered to pay $1,200 for costs and expenses incurred by the State Bar of Arizona.
