EPA Proposes Pollution Controls at Six Arizona Facilities

Sedona AZ (June 18, 2014) – In January 2014, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposed pollution controls at six facilities in Arizona to improve visibility at national parks and wilderness areas.

epa environmental protection agency logoEPA proposed a federal plan to limit emissions such as nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide tailored to six facilities: Tucson Electric Power’s Sundt Plant in Tucson, Chemical Lime Nelson in Peach Springs, ASARCO’s Hayden Smelter, Freeport McMoran’s Miami Smelter, Phoenix Cement Company’s Clarkdale plant and CalPortland Cement Company’s Rillito plant. As a part of this process, EPA also evaluated other sources but is not proposing to require any additional controls on these other sources at this time.

EPA estimates the proposal would reduce sulfur dioxide by almost 30,000 tons per year and nitrogen oxides by 3,100 tons per year.

EPA held public hearings on February 25, 2014, in Phoenix and on February 26, 2014, in Tucson and accepted comments for 45 days after publication in the Federal Register. A final determination will be made by June 27, 2014.

  1. It would have been nice to know about this when there was a chance to comment and actually make a difference.

I had no idea we were breathing life back into the EPA.

The fact that they are getting a budget tells me that the government has figured out a way to make money on this.

Looks like we are ready to tackle climate change.

The EPA budget was slashed in 1996 when the FCC started blazing the path to immerse us in wireless technology which the EPA was opposed to. All the scientists and engineers went by the wayside and were never replaced during the implementation of one of our greatest threats to mankind. Radiation bombardment.

The skies are filled with planes that emit seeds to change the weather, keep the sun from burning crops and general depopulation techniques. All under ONE atmosphere. The UN has acknowledged the chemtrails so it is no longer a conspiracy theory to those of you who try to keep their heads buried in the sand. Too late for that one EPA.

Lets not forget the fracking and drilling across the center of the country now causing unprecedented earthquakes? Oops, too late EPA.

Now we going to ask the big boys to tone it down a bit on the emissions. Thank you so much for all of your help.
