Sedona AZ (January 29, 2014) – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor from subscriber Nancy Baer sharing her invitation to join an environmental issue Town Hall tonight via telephone:
Last night in his State of the Union Address, President Obama celebrated recent victories and outlined his administration’s plans to continue addressing the threat of climate change in 2014.
At 8:00 pm EST tonight, EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy will join EDF President Fred Krupp for a tele-town hall moderated by Environmental Defense Action Fund President Elizabeth Thompson. Gina and Fred will first share their reactions to the President’s announcements and then take questions from the audience. As an EDF member, you’re invited to join this free interactive live event.
If you received a phone call from Fred Krupp yesterday, you’re already set. Just be by your phone between 8:00 pm and 8:10 pm EST tonight, and we’ll call you and patch you directly into the tele-town hall. If we happen to miss you, we’ll leave a message with instructions for joining late.
If you didn’t receive a call yesterday but would like to attend this exciting event, we’ve set up a toll-free number for you to call. Just dial 1-855-756-7520 at 8:00 pm EST tonight. At the prompt, press 23612# to join the tele-town hall.
We couldn’t be more excited to bring you this rare opportunity to ask the head of the EPA your own questions about environmental policy. EDF members are some of the smartest and most passionate environmentalists on the planet. I hope you’ll be able to attend!
Thank you for all you do,
Heather Shelby Action Network Coordinator takeaction@edf.org (shared by Nancy Baer, Sedona AZ)
Hello,
Just wondering why your EPA phone town hall meeting is at the same time as the one for equal pay for equal work; many people would probably like to participate in both of these. I had to hang up on one, then dial back into it later.
