The meeting will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Summit Fire District Station 32 and Administrative Offices, 8905 Koch Field Road, Flagstaff, Arizona.

Chief Deputy Jim Driscoll will be at the meeting to encourage continued neighborhood participation and to share information. Doney Park Community deputies will be available to answer questions and provide support to this partnership between law abiding citizens, law enforcement and county government. District 4 Supervisor Mandy Metzger will be present to share information from the Coconino County Government.

CCSO staff will give a presentation on the Woods Watch Program during the Doney Park Neighborhood Watch meeting. Concerns regarding very dry conditions and the impending wild land fire season are on the minds of many community members who live in cities and unincorporated areas throughout Coconino County. CCSO provides Woods Watch training and orientation which is not limited to Doney Park Neighborhood Watch participants. The training is open to all community members.

This volunteer program is similar to Neighborhood Watch and is of vital importance in residential areas that interface with forested land. Volunteers are asked to watch for people accessing closed areas of the forest and for people who are using fire carelessly or against current fire restrictions. Volunteers are trained to be especially vigilant for activity that may be occurring on forested lands in city limits, unincorporated areas of Coconino County, and on U.S. Forest Service lands.
