With all due respect to Mr. Hinkley’s opinion and, in fact, one with which I agree, I must take exception to his attacks on SVVT for having printed it.

For many years another local paper has been rightfully criticized for biased reporting and failure to publish beliefs other than their own.  We now have a refreshing voice willing to conscientiously live up to the obligation they stated when the paper first came out ~ that being fairness in reporting.

A few months ago I was appalled at what I considered a featured diatribe supporting city property taxation.  As furious as I was, I did have the ability to step back and review the overall function of this new unbiased reporting. Did either of these examples change my mind on issues or the quality of SVVT values?  Of course not.  It is what it is.
