Dear Editor: Letter to the Editor/Election Central 2010

I went to the ‘Election Central 2010’ website because Tappy & Ruth Ryan (Letter to the Editor/September 23 2010 Print Edition) identified it as a ‘phenomenal source for us when deciding who to vote for”.  If the Ryans highlighted this website as good information who NOT to vote for, I will totally agree with them for the site contains little other than Joseph Goebbels-type falsehoods and misinformation or, should I should say, Democratic Party ‘talking points’ – not much of a difference between the two.  One reason why our country is in such economic trouble today and why we have lost so much prestige around the world is due, to a great degree, to the ignorance and stupidity of those who voted-in the present administration, without looking beyond the book cover to see what was inside.  I mention ‘ignorance’ with reference to the college youth who voted for President Obama because, in addition to his being a historic first – they, as did my granddaughter, thought that he was also ‘cool..   These are close-minded people who do not take advantage of being enlighten by listening to both political parties.  The cancer imbedded in the health care law, for example, is now beiginning to come to the surface and is a platform for one party while something to run from for the other.  It is my most sincere hope that the public avails themselves to factual information – not ‘talking points’ – before entering the voting booth in November.
