Collins Rhōg – Seattle –

Collins RhōgSedona AZ (May 28, 2014)The following has been randomly taken from Collins Rhōg’s private journal, and reproduced exactly as it was written, by his own hand. The date has been omitted, at his request, but Collins view is always captivatingly honest, full of depth and color, heart, love, and perseverance in times of struggle. Collins spills his soul and captures his feelings with vivid imagery and heart felt emotion that oozes from the pages of this historic text.

The following is but a portholes view, from across the room of “The Life and Times of Collins Rhōg“:

                         – seattle –

I was chasing through the evening –
in search of a light to find –
the engine roared a throaty gail –
as a pigeon flew from sight –
I veered her up the ramp –
and the tach began to climb –
I was running down my sorrow –
cadenced with the redline…
I thought back to see you smiling –
I thought back to see you there –
I thought back before the cancer –
I thought back before the tears –
and then I saw the center line pulsing –
like a faucet dripping hard –
as I came into the traffic –
I geared her down to carve –
and when I passed the trooper –
she fired up her lights –
I smiled into the rear view –
“You won’t catch me tonight” –
so I opened up the throttle –
as the engine began to wind –
I could feel my heart was racing –
and for that moment…you were alive –
peeling off at “one six six” –
I blasted on through Pine –
and drifting down the hill –
I hit the cobbles stones of Pike –
I could no longer see the Trooper –
but I heard a second siren –
so I pulled into a dark garage –
where I hugged the wheel and cried.
