The Life and Times of Collins Rhōg, as written through his private journal

Sedona AZ (May 14, 2014)The following has been randomly taken from Collins Rhōg’s private journal, and reproduced exactly as it was written, by his own hand. The date has been omitted, at his request, but Collins view is always captivatingly honest, full of depth and color, heart, love, and perseverance in times of struggle. Collins spills his soul and captures his feelings with vivid imagery and heart felt emotion that oozes from the pages of this historic text.

The following is but a portholes view, from across the room of “The Life and Times of Collins Rhōg”:

– contagious and pure –

life ebbs and flows – while our hearts beat…
grey skies break open… and rain
I still remember the day I met you…
After we’d spoken so long on the phone…

you live you life free from shackles… – I live my life free from pain… – in that chapter I was swamped in hurting – I used to wish that chapter, could be lived again…,

I remember the last time, that you had me… – just barely, but slightly… I do… – beneath the covers before you left for Australia – I dropped you off in front of the airport… – I never knew, I’d never see you again…, I never knew…

we laid with each other, once at Fort Flagler… – as a money spider crawled across my hand – back then our future just couldn’t be brighter… – back then I believed that we’d last… –

now we’re gone and our lives have distanced… – I know longer know the woman.., I once loved… – we can’t even talk, when chance brings us together… – memories of darkness replaced your warm touch… –

I no longer remember if your eyes would sparkle – I don’t recall the love that we shared… – close my eyes, to sort through the memories… – I’ve forgotten your taste and the smell of your hair…

she has a smile that’s brighter than summer… – she has a warmth, contagious and pure… – while you lived your life free from the shackles – she grabbed my hand and opened her door.

Sweet but sad. (Isn’t that better known as “bitter sweet?” ) Thanks for memories from the past and apologies to those who think it might refer to them.:-)
