At the special session of the Sedona City Council on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, the City Council directed staff to pursue negotiations with Revenue Discovery Systems regarding third-party sales tax collections on behalf of the City.  Presuming initial negotiations are successful, the contract is expected to return to Council for approval on September 14, 2010.

On a related matter, the Council reviewed a proposed draft of the mandatory city business license anticipated as a replacement to the current business registration.  The adoption of those code changes in addition to the votes on the related ordinance and resolution are expected to also take place on September 14.
