Chandler Arizona Attorney Disbarred

State Bar of Arizona logoPhoenix AZ (May 28, 2013)The Arizona Supreme Court issued an order disbarring Raymond L. Miller of Chandler, Arizona, on April 17, 2013. Miller was disbarred for misappropriating client funds.

Miller acknowledged he would not contest or defend the charges against him, and after considering the consent agreement, the judge issued a final judgment and order, declaring Miller’s disbarment.

The disbarment follows an interim suspension ordered January 18, 2013. Miller’s disbarment was effective on April 17, 2013. He has been ordered to pay $60,248.21 to three clients and $2,274.80 to the State Bar of Arizona for all costs and expenses associated with the disciplinary proceedings.

In related news, Gilbert, Arizona, attorney Thomas A. Walcott was reinstated as an active member after completing a 30-day suspension, reports the State Bar of Arizona. Gilbert was guilty of misconduct that was resolved by a consent agreement with the Bar. The reinstatement was effective, April 29, 2013.
