Dear Editor: Sheriff Joe
Since moving to Sedona (not Maricopa County) about one year ago, I have been unable to escape the constant news about Maricopa County’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Unfortunately, the comparison that comes to mind based on that news is to Bull Conner of Alabama fame. The protestors Conner hated were engaged in civil disobedience or, in many cases, “illegal” behavior also. It’s...
Dear Editor: Another SB1070 perspective
I am from California and this may be a good way to explain things to people that don’t understand:
The owner of the Phoenix Suns basketball team, Robert Sarver, opposes AZ’s new immigration laws.
Arizona ‘s Governor, Jan Brewer, released the following statement in response to Sarver’s criticism of the new law:
“What if the owners of the Suns...
Letter to Editor: Mayor misses the point!
Mayor Rob Adams misses the point on illegal immigration. Too bad tourism is down but if the town didn’t rely on illegal, undocumented workers hired by employers who aid and abet the breaking of U.S. law and encourage illegals to come, ruin our towns’ budgets with free health care, food stamps, school rooms, non payment of taxes etc. then maybe honest trades people would be able to run...
Water for Sedona?
Sedona AZ (August 2, 2010) – The following is a letter to the SedonaEye.com editor from a Flagstaff, Arizona, resident:
The Flagstaff Water Commission voted to go ahead with a plan to sell over three billion gallons of Flagstaff drinking water to a private company for snowmaking. The decision was made because of pressure from the USDA.
If the city of Flagstaff diverts 3 billion gallons of water...
Dear Mr. Acosta: I disagree
I disagree with Mr. Acosta.
I totally respect Arizona for trying to prevent illegal immigration. The Feds should be ashamed of what they are NOT doing. Personally I will visit Arizona more than I usually do. I am sure I will be visiting beautiful Sedona, again, before the year is over. All of the US is hurting because of the horrible economy. Hang in there, with the new law and once the economy picks...

Hi Dan:
Brace yourself (as you all sit in anticipation wondering what “she’s” griping about now) . . . the answer to that is “nothing“. This is just to let you know that the corrections made to the culvert, SE corner of my property, in addition to cleaning...
