Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Night

Arizona Community FoundationSedona AZ (November 9, 2015) – The Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County is encouraging scholarship providing community groups to join local students at the inaugural Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Night. The scholarship night brings both scholarship providers and local students together in the same place in order for students to learn about the variety of opportunities for financial support to achieve their educational goals after high school.

The event will be held at the Yavapai College Gymnasium, where all local scholarship providers are invited to have an information table, share their scholarship opportunities, and meet students face-to-face. The Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Night will take place Monday, December 7, 2015, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

“If students don’t know about the scholarship opportunities available to them, how can they apply?” said Carol Chamberlain, Regional Director of the Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County. “We decided to host the Cash for College scholarship night to make sure every student knows their options and our local scholarship providers have a great pool of applicants.”

The Cash for College Scholarship Awareness Night is scheduled specifically to accommodate the busy schedules of students and their families, and provide students time to consider their options over the holiday break.

Scholarship providers, please RSVP your attendance.
