In 1989, the first Superior Court building offering services to the citizens of the Verde Valley was erected in Camp Verde. On November 15, 2010, the Board of Supervisors held a ribbon cutting commemorating the remodel of that building.
The remodel of that 12,000 square foot building cost the County $750,000 and was completed by B’s Contracting. It consisted of making 50 office spaces, some multiple spaces, new roof, heating and cooling, building insulation, paint, carpet and computer network cabling.
It will house the Public Defender, County Attorney and Sheriff’s offices which have been housed in temporary trailers since 1996. The trailers will be used in Congress and Ashfork. One trailer will remain on site and become the new home of the U of A Cooperative Extension.
