Road runner feasts on aluminum and other metals.

Chuck Turnquist in the owner of RoadRunner Recycling, 1044 North Main, Cottonwood, AZ, and is open for business and willing to pay you for scrap copper, steel, brass and aluminum.

The RoadRunner will pick up scrap at commercial and industrial businesses. Residential customers may bring certain appliances and other items to Chuck’s recycling center. Chuck suggests though that residential customers call him before bringing items, so they may be approved as acceptable for recycling at his facility.

Chuck may be contacted at (928) 301-8839.

Chuck Turnquist of Cottonwood AZ

Chuck posts his scrap recycle prices at his facility and adjusts them as the market value fluctuates.

Chuck served his country during the end of the Korean conflict and is an Army veteran. He served with the 1st Cavalry, 9th Cavalry, 1st reconnaissance with C “Charlie” Company and drove a M41 tank.

I ask Chuck how many 12 ounce aluminum cans it takes to equal one pound: One pound of aluminum is currently worth 55 cents and the answer is approximately 28 cans.

Chuck doesn’t accept small quantities of cans so before bringing cans to him, it would be wise to call and discuss minimum quantities. I forgot to ask him what the scrap value of one M41 tank would be.

Car batteries are currently worth $3.50.
