Arpaio is reprehensible. Get past the “tough sheriff” hype if you can. Educate yourselves as to what a crooked fascist this guy really is. He’s the Mussolini of Maricopa. The only good thing about him is that he’s so old he may leave us at any moment.

Our only regret is we can’t vote for him. But wait – maybe if we get a bogus Phoenix address to change our place of registration we could. Isn’t that how it works in Sedona?
Regretfully we can’t afford to financially support him but it would be a great experience and honor to meet and shake the hand of the Great Sheriff Joe who understands the true meaning of law enforcement. Too bad the big boys in D.C. aren’t playing with a full deck.
Good luck. We know if he rouses the nasty Sedona politicians on this site he’s doing a double good job.

My guess is you have that feeling because you did not read the linked articles and because you are trapped in a simplistic world view of left/right, liberal/conservative, either/or.
Why is there often a Yavapai County Sheriff vehicle sitting in Bell Rock parking lot early morning? Is the County now guarding federal land? Should they be patrolling the streets instead?
Who cares? They can’t enforce county laws from there, can’t enforce federal laws because they’re not qualified. Maybe they’re just relaxing. Who cares?
