This is very annoying. The race results are NOT on sedonamarthon.com as of 9:00 a.m. February 2. 2500 runners are disappointed.

  6. We are going to take and process more materials than ever before in the year 2014! We are currently working on several new recycling programs to be announced in the upcoming year. 2013 was a difficult year for the recycling industry but we weathered the storm and will be pushing forward stronger than ever!

Thanks to our partnership with Terracycle we were able to collect and recycle Clif Bar wrappers, Clif Shots, energy bar wrappers and chip bags at the recent Sedona Marathon! Through local composting efforts we collected apple cores and banana peels, through ATRS we were able to collect the mylar emergency blankets from the runners and of course our usual cardboard and plastic and cans bins were used heavily!

We have already spoken with the Sedona Chamber of Commerce to do even more next year. It is totally possible to go zero waste at not just the Sedona Marathon but through the entire city and Verde Valley as well! Next stop: Sedona Film Festival! We can do this!
