Where’s Harley McGuire? Thank you so much for sending us the information on Harley. I have sent the attached file to the group and everybody is so pleased to have seen it. It’s good for our Dougie to have a little competition in the literary field.

FYI our address had changed and is currently: LLSTLAR, PO Box 761, Sugar Land, Texas 77487-0761.
    Regards,
    David Noble.

(The Lone Star Rescue was the former home of Sedona’s very own Harley McGuire, staff columnist SedonaEye.com, before he was rescued by his loving mom. LS Rescue was sent links to the Harley McGuire series and an article about Harley’s success, including his original adoption story, was distributed in the Lone Star newsletter.)

    My dear, dear BeeBe:

Good Gracious and Holy Cow! Your message is one of those with “bad news and good news” but the outcome of your near disaster was the good part! When Mom and I were out yesterday we observed several close calls and not all of them were at the roundabouts. Suicide lane in West Sedona is pretty scary too. Take it easy and keep the faith.

    Lovingly,
    Harley McGuire

    Hi there Mr. David Noble:

Yep, I’m still here! Due to a case of the flu and updating the web system our Editor/Publisher got a little behind on keeping me current. She’s back up and running now (both editor and web site!) It thrills me that you responded and the folks at Lone Star are still my fans. Thank you all very, very much.

    Lovingly,
    Harley McGuire

    Hi Harley,

I am sure glad you are OK and back in circulation. I wanted to share with you a newsletter that my mom gets from the people who raised me, Canine Companions for Independence. It’s the story of Renata, a little puppy who is being trained to to become a service dog. Thought you might be able to use it in your column to educate people on what it takes for us, service dogs, to become more helpful to humans. Who knows, some of your avid readers might be willing to become volunteers and help raise future canine companions. Believe me, it’s a very rewarding experience for humans to help us become better at what we do, so that we can help those who need us..

    Take care!

    Inoch
