Sedona AZ (July 29, 2013)The Sedona Posse Grounds Park Community Pool is open for business this fall through November 9, 2013. The fall schedule will offer Open Swim, Lap Swim, Water Aerobics, and Masters Swim.

Parents, bring your children to enjoy the pool during Open Swim during weekday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lap swimmers may enjoy swimming laps Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and during the evenings of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

For individuals wanting swimming instruction, participate in Masters Swim on Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The highly popular Water Aerobics classes are held Monday through Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Pool prices are $2 for children (16 and under) and seniors (55+) and $3 for adults:  Masters Swim and Water Aerobics have a $5 drop in fee. The water is maintained at 83 degrees or warmer.

Private swim lessons may be arranged for children and adults; cost is $15 for a half hour lesson. It is never too late to learn this valuable skill.

  3. Join Sedona Parks and Recreation for fun and exercise at Sizzling Salsa Aerobics on Saturday, August 17. This event begins at 9 a.m. but arrive early to purchase your ticket or register ahead of time at the Sedona Community Pool. Tickets are only $5.

    Whether you are an avid water aerobics enthusiast or a first time participant, this new event will introduce you to this activity in a fun environment. It includes themed music, goody bags at the door, challenges and prizes awarded. After the hour-long water aerobics class, participants can enjoy a chips and salsa bar, ice tea, and of course, camaraderie.

    Our knowledgeable and energetic instructor Paytone Delmars will be teaching the class and leading participants through creative challenges to help them earn prizes. Let this be your excuse to try water aerobics.
