Sedona AZ–While still basking in the glow of the spirit and energy of the July 24 Multi-Faith Celebration attended by 250 women in Sedona, Judy Massey of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and Teri Bays and Barbara Litrell of St. John Vianney RC Church have organized a day of Women’s Workshops, an experiential day when women can connect to the Divine and give expression to their spiritual, creative, compassionate energy.
The workshops will take place Saturday, September 25, 8:30AM to 3:30PM at St. John Vianney, 180 Soldiers Pass Rd, Sedona.
The day is designed with 49 workshops across 7 subject areas including Movement/Dance, Food, Art, Meditation, Healing Arts, Music/Poetry/Drama, and Silence.
The cost of the day is $25 and includes lunch.
According to Teri Bays , “We are pleased that St. John Vianney provides ample indoor space for the workshops as well as breathtakingly beautiful outdoor gardens for meditation and silence.”
Movement/Dance workshops include Hatha Yoga, Liturgical Dance, Ayurvedic Yoga, TaiChi and Chakra Yoga. Food Workshops include Ayurvedic Food, Organic Chocolate Making and Break Baking.
Art Workshops feature Pamela Fox-Klauser leading a two part meditative collage experience, gallery owner Andrea Smith leading a two-part painting workshop “Square One,” and artist Gloria Rothrock offering a two part workshop on “Stitchery.”
Meditation workshops spotlight Guided Visualizations, Insight Meditation, Compassion Meditation, Breathing Meditation, Walking Meditation, Labyrinth Meditation and Guided Meditation.
Healing Arts workshops include Healing Oils, Jin Gin Jytsu Self-Help, Sacred Sound and Blessing Rites & Rituals.
The Music/Poetry/ Drama Workshops will feature Taize Chants, Acting, Poetry, Eastern Chants, and Natural Prayer in Movement.
Silence venues include the Church, the Chapel and the many gardens around St. John Vianney.
