Should that event occur, then what’s to prevent the “I” word from being applied to all things presently deemed illegal?

If disregarding “illegal” for only those who ignore immigration laws because they believe it’s OK to enter this country without following the rules, then would it not be considered discrimination if the “I” word were not abolished across the board?

In other words, why shouldn’t those who want to use drugs, commit arson, robbery, rape, murder, fraud, extortion, traffic violations, child molestation, animal abuse, domestic violence . . . the list goes on and on . . . also be taken into consideration under broad based constitutional rights and likewise be stricken from the books of law and order if in even one instance an exception is allowed to say “OK” to blatant violations?

When ineffective law enforcement has set an example of being the root of an out of control situation, then why shouldn’t all laws be put to bed and truly do away with the world “illegal” in the broadest sense of the word?

Maybe only at such a time would elected officials, at all levels, be handed a situation which would remove them from their self imposed ideals of their lofty positions whereby they will be forced to discontinue selectively picking and choosing the special interests they personally deem worthy of their consideration. Without laws and subsequent adequate enforcement they just might be reduced to living in the real world like the majority of the people they were initially elected to represent. Just a thought . . .

If I head to France or Mexico and have a baby he or she will not be a citizen of those countries. So who are the people who illegally enter our country? The ones who have nothing to lose by leaving home, home is so unsavory for them that they risk coming here.

The Mexicans I have spoken to visiting here legally or who still live in mexico say they love their country and would never come here, they have money and a nice home and own businesses or are professionals. They said, “Americans think Mexicans are poor, uneducated, or drug dealers, criminals, etc. but what Americans see is the bottom of the Mexican barrel, the middle and upper classes are not the ones coming to America except on vacation.”
