Larry you’re right and it seems since they can hire an attorney with the associations money so they have the upper hand. If anyone wants to challenge them they would have to hire an attorney at their own expense and that is a great barrier to the board being challenged.

@Glenn Shannon sorry to hear this happens also in the village. People need to grow up and remove all conflicts of interests. Like the chamber and Steve Senger they are in a big money grab for monies that should be used on infrastructure. Instead we are paying for their ads.

Where has all the formal policies and procedures gone? It appears that nobody cares as long as they get theirs.

Anytime it seems when you give a group of people power over others, very few can handle that in a responsible manner. Have seen it time and again where these boards just go off in their own direction and could care less what the home owners want. Went against a board years ago that was getting kick backs from everyone they hired. I was told to back off or else and thru the process of trying to get control of the board looked over my back many times.

SEDONA GOLF RESORT COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION ROAD MARKINGS

The County has placed numerous white “sign” marks on the roads within Sedona Golf Resort. The County has informed HOAMCO that square sign posts will replace round posts, which are not crash worthy. The County will replace the round posts with square posts within the next few weeks.

There appears to have been a behind the scenes decision to consult an attorney to find a way to use HOA funds to pay for the golf course improvements. Who, when? While the master declaration states the association must maintain the common land, and the golf course is common land, the bylaws state HOW that maintenance is to be paid for: From the golf course profits. There is no conflict. If you bought a home in VOCA and read the bylaws, you were assured the golf course would pay for itself. Now with some trickery, your HOA reserves are in question about that.
