I think all this is over blown as the only people that follow the laws are law abiding citizens to begin with. Criminals do as they damn please and will walk into any place with a weapon. Most crime goes down when the criminal knows the public is well armed.

On March 26th, I will be delivering 2 petitions to my representative, Steve Montenegro. One opposes guns on college campuses and the other opposes guns in public buildings. At this point we have over 8000 signers on the first and over 6000 on the second.

We have reached a lot of people but there are many more out there who have not even seen these petitions. I believe we are but a sampling of the moderate majority that exists in Arizona and I plan to express that to my representative. Thank you to all who have signed and who have encouraged others to sign.

Our voices will be heard and if we can truly effect change, then we have done something we can be proud of.

As the Senate Bill to allow guns on college campuses is stalling, the AZ House is pushing through a similar bill!! This will allow guns in public buildings including police stations, libraries,public pools, state capitol etc.unless a there is a law enforcement person or security guard w/metal detector posted at entrance.

That’s why I signed a petition to The Arizona State House, The Arizona State Senate, and Governor Jan Brewer, which says:

“Please stop the Arizona House from passing HB 2729, which will allow guns in public buildings that do not have armed guards or metal detectors at entrances. Although this bill excludes all school campuses, it still allows guns in libraries, public pools, and many other places guns do not belong. This is on its way to passing! Please sign now and let our legislators know we are opposed to this bill.”
