I-10 restricted near Dysart Road for sign-structure construction

PHOENIX — Freeway-improvement projects will require restrictions in the Phoenix area this weekend (Jan. 22-25). The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends drivers plan ahead, consider alternate routes or adjust travel schedules and use caution in work zones while the following restrictions are in place:

    Interstate 10 narrowed to three lanes in both directions near Dysart Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 23) for sign-structure construction. I-10 also narrowed to four lanes in both directions (HOV lanes closed) near Dysart Road from 5 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 24) for sign-structure construction. Detour: Please allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely in work zone.

    Northbound State Route 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 in northeast Phoenix closed overnight from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 23) for bridge work. Detour: Drivers can exit and use westbound Union Hills Drive to northbound Cave Creek Road to connect with westbound Loop 101.
    Southbound State Route 51 on-ramp at Thomas Road closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 23) for utility-related work at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  Detour: Please use alternate routes, including the southbound SR 51 on-ramp at Indian School Road.
    Northbound Interstate 17 off-ramp at 19th Avenue closed from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 23) for pavement repairs. Detour: Please use alternate routes, including the northbound I-17 off-ramps at Seventh Avenue or Buckeye Road.
    Southbound Interstate 17 closed temporarily (for up to 30 min. each time) at Dixileta Drive in north Phoenix and eastbound Loop 303 also closed temporarily two miles west of I-17 from 12:01 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 23) for overhead sign-structure work. Detour: Please allow extra travel time and use caution due to slowing or stopped traffic.​
    Northbound Interstate 17 closed temporarily (for up to 30 min. each time) near Deer Valley Road or Jomax Road from 12:01 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 24) for overhead sign-structure work. Detour: Please allow extra travel time and use caution due to slowing or stopped traffic.
    Broadway Road narrowed to one lane in each direction at Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) in Mesa from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 24) for pavement repairs. Loop 202 on- and off-ramps at Broadway Road will remain open with lane restrictions in place. Detour: Please consider alternate east-west routes, including Apache Trail or Southern Avenue.
