A new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that the autism rate among American children in the US is now 1 in 50, and since boys outnumber girls with autism by a ratio of 4 or 5 to 1, somewhere between 3 and 4 percent of all American boys now have an autism spectrum diagnosis.

Read it here: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr065.pdf

Fifteen years ago the autism rate was 1 in 10,000, 12 year ago it was I in 2,500, 10 years ago it was 1 in 1000, and so on. When President Obama was elected in 2008 the official rate was 1 in 150, then it went to 1 in 88 and now it is 1 in 50.

My biggest problem with the smart meter is since it was installed on my home my bill is $20 higher than last year per month. Talking to others their bill is up around $20 also so guess they built that into the meter to add the extra dollars. The capability to me is overstated to some degree. While the meter can say how much usage on on a single circuit it can't tell what is being used as per circuit you can have several items plugged in. Only exceptions are dryer, washer, range, electric water heater and central AC. Except for those items to determine what is plugged in would be hard to determine. The home owner could by looking at the circuit and knowing what items they have plugged into these circuits.
