Those wins are impressive except that hundreds of other tea partiers helped those candidates get elected. Problem is that you couldn’t get yourselves elected in your home city. You lost 4 elections in a row, how impressive will you be to your buddies now.

Tried to kill Home Rule FAILED
Tried to get your slate elected to mayor FAILED
Tried to get your PBA elected (at a cost of $50k of taxpayers money) FAILED
Tried to get your slate (deleted by editor) elected to SFD FAILED

So you’re trying to impress me….HOW????

You must be reading impaired or senile and like to rant for the sake of ranting? I SAID DON’T MISUNDERSTAND THAT I KNOW WHY IT WENT PROFESSIONAL. You ran right to first base after striking out and had a temper tantrum when told to go in the dugout. If you read the election propositions and responded the same way then we can count on your vote like your comment making no difference.

Ok, let’s look at your volunteer option for a second-

Given that the median age is the Verde Valley is 58 years old and we don’t have a lot of men and women in their 20’s or 30’s, who do you think are going to put those fire suits on with air packs and run into fires???? Even if we did have a few 20 or 30-year-old’s willing to do that, how do they work at their paying job, take the required training that is over 1000 hours AND ENJOY A FAMILY?

I’m surprised that you old timers keep harping on going back to volunteers. Unless you all want to put your walkers and canes aside and pitch in, you’d better come up with a better answer.

Sedona had the best firefighters money could or couldn’t buy called volunteers that did superb jobs. Don’t misunderstand. I understand the increase in tourism made it why Sedona needed to go professional and it all started with none other than a highfalutin California Chief (he loved big spending). It’s time for Arizona Chiefs to rein it in now. We have enough equipment to do the job extremely well and we get help from US Forest Service and 2 counties! That’s all we need and it’s time to maintain a steady budget and not spend more. Think about it.
