Check out this website for fire prevention tips and teach your children well. I teach and almost all the children don’t know about Smokey the Bear like we were taught as kids. Other cultures don’t even understand about fire danger or protecting wildlife. Start teaching the basics again. Most of my children come not knowing how to flush a toilet or why one should flush a toilet and where and why it is flushed for sanitation, how to wash hands or why one should, why one doesn’t wear the same underwear for a month or more, they don’t know what wildlife is or where it lives, they don’t know why healthy vs unhealthy is preferred, why one should brush teeth, well I could go on and on but let’s stop here. Do your part to explain what parents and our culture taught us that was reinforced by our schooling. Without parents teaching at home, teachers cannot teach in the schools. We need etiquette classes and cultural introduction classes.
