The people who ran on a slate of fiscal conservatism are being allowed to squander hundreds of thousands of dollars on unnecessary attorney fees and a manageement audit to be done by a firm with no experience in fire districts, who happens to have come in as the highest bidder at close to $200,000 and…is also the firm which employs the wife of (another drum roll, please) the appointed head of the newly formed Fire Chief Selection Committee.

It behooves us to become more informed on what is taking place in the Sedona Fire District…attend the meetings, watch the videos or read the minutes…our lives may depend on it!

When this irregularity and blatant conflict of intrest was brought to public light the commitee was disbanded and a new one formed stocked with this boards crooked cronies.

The new audit commitee once agin picked the same firm, (McGladrey & Pullen) despite it still being the highest bidder. This board cares not what is best for the people of Sedona they seek to line the pockets of their campaign contributors with kick backs of tax payer money.

I don’t know if the recall is the solution since Blauert will most likely just step down only to have another scoundrel replace him. Same with the rest of them. Sedona and SFD is in trouble and we count on them everyday to come to us in our times of need. Instead we quibble about a handful of street lights!

What happens when the lights go out on the fire trucks and ambulances?
