Although under the title of Sedona C of C with “& Tourism Bureau” tacked on later for obvious reasons, it was a misrepresentation from the get-go considering many if not most of their members are not within Sedona City Limits and therefore do not collect Sedona City sales/bed tax – the source of the generous rebate.

How fair has that been to honorable businesses who refused to acquiesce and become a member of a regional organization just in order to merit advertising from funds THEY collected and contributed to the farce of ridiculous negotiations?

Unfortunately at this writing I do not have the names of newer Sedona city council members who contributed to the discontent of the “regional” chamber of commerce and led them to drop the contract with the “City of Sedona.” However, this message to let you know that although I’m just one voice out here my deepest appreciation is herewith extended.

And whatever decision is made relating to an alternate Sedona promotion source please oh please do NOT display such a blatant disregard for licensed Sedona city businesses.

If the VOC and other locations wish to participate in Sedona city government, then why shouldn’t they be encouraged to take the necessary to steps and go through the process of annexation and become part of the “city”?

Not possible. They wore their mirrors out.

Researching some of the alleged authorities writing columns elsewhere online (and in some cases print editions) arrogance of power, presumed or otherwise, is soooo obvious.

That does not apply to Sam Tardio or his article by any means. Where it is apparent is the degree of egotistical endeavors extended by a so-called “non-profit?” publication. Overbearing and tasteless method of promoting overinflated self-esteem? I, I, I = me, me, me.

Maybe at least three of our present city council members should also take a look in a mirror to further admire themselves. Egos prevail?

The above letter to the editor is – well – really a revelation. It’s little wonder the author – Sam Tardio – wasn’t elected to city council. Apparently he was just too honest. However he must have really given the movers/shakers/ and control freaks a momentary scare. His accuracy in relating factual events is outstanding – just an opinion of course.

Wonder what happened to the fellow. It would be a wonderful thing if a few ambitious people at city hall including the current mayor read the above masterpiece. Maybe it explains the reason for JabLow to post his recent record of accomplishments(?) on a different news source? As in – the truth as it is available on Sedona Eye hurts too much?

{Justin Clifton, our city manager and “Mr. Traffic is our destiny” is just visiting Sedona, the way I see it. His allegiance to the city council and the rest of the Cabal is unrelenting. It’s unfortunate that his caring for the people of the city isn’t in the running to protecting the Golden Goose. Not surprising….}

I heard from Democrat friends they were told not to talk about the Supreme Court decision because it made it harder on the Democrats. Why? Because majority Republicans on the US Supreme Court voted to keep beach open to the poor and the public and minority Democrats wanted to not offend this local California rich man!
