to Support Arizona Students (December 25, 2010): YES! I want to take advantage of the Arizona Private Education Tax Credit 2010 to support scholarships at VVS.

Every Arizona taxpayer is eligible. Consider your own Arizona tax liability - you can contribute any portion of that up to $500 for individual taxpayers and $1,000 for couples. Make a contribution to the NVEP on-line, by mail or in person. You will receive an acknowledgement letter which entitles you to a dollar-for-dollar tax credit when you file your 2010 Arizona state tax return.

Every dollar contributed to NVEP, designated for VVS, will provide scholarship support for deserving local kids. You can and should consider donating to your public school's tax credit program too. Each is different in how they work and how much you can give, but all three tax credit programs are important ways to...

Take Control of Your Tax Dollars!

Call Dana at 284-2272 or go to www.vvsaz.org/nvep to donate before December 31, 2010

WHICH SOUNDS BETTER TO YOU?
As Arizona residents and taxpayers we have a special privilege. We can dedicate a portion of our state taxes to help the students in our own community.

Since 1997, Arizona residents have provided over $300 million in scholarships to local students attending private schools. Through gifts to the New Valley Education Partners and other authorized School Tuition Organizations, taxpayers are taking control of their taxes, saying "This is how I want my taxes to be spent."

You can help a deserving Arizona student to attend Sedona's Verde Valley School. Did you know that about one-quarter of the students at VVS are Arizona residents? And many of those students receive scholarship support from tax-credit contributions to the school's STO (School Tuition Organization) called the New Valley Education Partnership.

How does it work?
As an Arizona taxpayer you can contribute up to $500 (individual) or $1,000 (couple) to the NVEP and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit. Your contribution costs you nothing! Every dollar you contribute is a dollar less you have to pay in state taxes. And every dollar contributed is used for scholarships at VVS.

What is a tax credit?
· A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar
 reduction in your taxes.

· Deductions reduce the amount of taxable
 income.

· Tax credits reduce your tax bill dollar
 for dollar.

· If your tax liability is $5,000, and you
give $1,000 to VVS's NVEP, your tax
 liability is reduced to $4,000.

Who is eligible to give?
Every Arizona taxpayer is eligible. Consider your own Arizona tax liability - you can contribute any portion of that up to $500 for individual taxpayers and $1,000 for couples.

There's no minimum donation - only a ceiling of $500 for individuals and $1,000 for couples.

How do I contribute?
Make a contribution to the NVEP on-line, by mail or to Dana Blavat. You will receive an acknowledgement letter which entitles you to a dollar-for-dollar tax credit when you file your 2010 state tax return.

Where does the money go?
Every dollar contributed to NVEP will provide scholarship support for deserving Arizona students.

Can I give to the public school tax credit program too? How about the non-profit tax credit program?
Yes! You should consider donating to all three programs. Each is different in how they work and how much you can give, but all three tax credit programs are important ways to contribute.
