The Cellar Fire has burned approximately 8000 acres, and is located approx 16 miles south of Prescott. Residents in the area have been notified to be "Set" to go, using the Code Red notification system, but no evacuation orders have been issued yet. Please visit the www.ycso.gov website to get updates and sign up for Code Red emergency notifications in your area. The link below is for Forest Service information.

Now with over 400 acres burning, Coconino County announced a pre evacuation notice for communities near Timberline as of 5:16 p.m. this evening July 21.

The pre evacuation communities include Mt. Elden Lookout Estates, north and west of Highway 89 and Silver Saddle; Hutcheson Acres; McCann Estates; all of Timberline communities including Black Bill Park; Wupatki Trails; and Pine Mountain Estates.

The county has set all areas of the upper east side neighborhoods of Flagstaff, including Cedar Hills, Shadow Mountain, Christmas Tree, Skyline, Swiss Manor and Upper Greenlaw in the Ready stage or “prepare to go now.”

During pre evacuation notices residents are asked to pack any emergency items, have resources to sustain for 72 hours, know how to receive and stay aware of the latest news and information on the fire from local media and community resources.

The American Red Cross is setting up shelters.
