The Community Development staff wishes to extend a great big thank you to all who came out to our Open House on Saturday, May 30th to plan the City's new park at the historic Sedona Ranger Station! The Ranger Station was built by the U.S. Forest Service and consists of a residence (built in1917) and barn (built 1934). In 2014, the City of Sedona purchased the property on Brewer Road and is currently undertaking the next step in its evolution. We estimate that over 80 people came out demonstrating immense support of this historic site and interest in planning for its future! We gathered a great deal of valuable input that will help us as we begin this planning effort.

If you were not able to attend the Open House and would like to take a tour, learn more about the historic site and/or participate in a future focus group, please contact Cynthia Lovely, Senior Planner, at (928) 203-5035. There is still plenty of time to get involved!

To submit your ideas and comments:

• Go online at www.SedonaAZ.gov/rangerstation.
• Stop by the Community Development Department at 102 Roadrunner Drive, Building 104.
• Call (928) 203-5035.
• Email Cynthia Lovely at clovely@SedonaAZ.gov.

We look forward to working with you in the near future and throughout the planning process. We truly appreciate all of your input and we're always open to hear your thoughts and ideas. The comments received from the May 30th Open House will be posted online at www.SedonaAZ.gov/rangerstation. Please check out how your fellow citizens feel about this property and stay plugged into the exciting planning process!
