Are you seeing pink? Our country's first line of defense is its public safety organizations; that's why they were the first agencies to adopt the Pink Heals, Cares Enough to Wear Pink Program!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlvavjpyTrY&feature=player_embedded

Our Sedona Fire District employees - including your Firefighters - are wearing pink shirts during the month of July in support of cancer prevention, and joining forces with the Pink Heals Foundation to bring awareness to the devastating effects of cancer on our community members.

Pink Heals has taken the theme of Public Safety with pink fire trucks and police cars to serve communities by putting people first instead of causes.

They believe that money raised in communities, counties, and states should remain there, giving the option to either put it towards research or deliver 100% of the money generated by local fundraisers to the people that need it most!

SFD and the Sedona-Verde Valley Firefighter's Charities are offering the public an opportunity to make a difference in our community. Support local families dealing with the challenges of a child diagnosed with cancer by
purchasing a paver to be placed in front of SFD Fire Station #1 located at 2860 Southwest Drive in West Sedona.

The monies raised through this program will go directly to the Amanda Rae Coughlin Foundation. This foundation was created by the Coughlin family, who are local Sedona residents, for their daughter who was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma and tragically lost her battle in March of this year.

Pavers are available in two different sizes - a 6" by 9" paver with three lines of text is $75 and a 6" by 12" paver with six lines of text is $150. All proceeds will be donated to local families to help them deal with the challenges of a child diagnosed with cancer.

For additional information or to purchase, please call Sedona Fire District at (928) 282-6800.

Please come see the pink fire truck at our Pink Heals event on Friday, July 27th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Station #1 in West Sedona. SFD will be unveiling its Love 4 Amanda Paver project during this event.

Sedona Verde Valley Firefighter Charities is proud to present the new paver project located at Sedona Fire District Station #1.

Please click the link for the brochure to purchase your paver and help support local families dealing with childhood cancer. These are good articles about Amanda. Read them and remember how agonizing it is for parents with children that get sick with cancer. Let's try and beat this disease into obscurity!

In memory of Amanda Coughlin. Gone but never forgotten. Please buy a paver today for someone that you loved.
