Here you go, Greg. It's an article about Paffrath - I was given a copy at the forum from someone handing them out - print this if you want to - a friend said that he's seen the fellow's signs around - that takes nerve and proves that he does not have the best of intentions for the fire district. Let's stop embarrassing ourselves Sedona Fire District voters - didn't we do bad enough the last time? Do we really need a convict on the board? Everyone should be emailing and printing information for voters from here. They covered everything and continue to offer equal coverage. It's up to all of us to read and use the information wisely this time around. And in interest of fairness, I support Ty Montgomery and will vote for Nazih Hazime and slate.

Most of the mud-slinging in the body of this article are lies or are at best, untruths about the existing members of the board. What needs to be brought to the attention of the Sedona citizens is that Hazime, Cooperman and Schoen all have alterior motives, all of which will increase the property taxes of all homeowners in the SFDistrict. The present members of the board are trying to stop the over spending that has been going on in the past by cutting the waste throughout the Department without cutting any services or response time or care to the residents of the Sedona Fire District. Would you want the residents of Cottonwood to determine what Sedona's mil rate will be in the future? If Hazime is elected to the Sedona Fire Board, that is exactly what will happen.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2012, the Sedona City Council proclaimed May 2012 as Sedona Voter Registration Month. Earlier in April, the Council approved a participation agreement for the O’Connor House Centennial Voter Engagement Project, a statewide collaborative effort inspired by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and the O’Connor House. The Project’s mission is to increase informed participation of all citizens as a way to commemorate Arizona's Centennial.

According to the O’Connor House, the Arizona We Want and the AZ Civic Health Index has reported that Arizona ranks in the “bottom 10” of every aspect of voter participation – being informed, registration and turnout – especially in the primaries where many elections are decided. As a result of this data, Justice O’Connor has proposed that the O’Connor House take the lead in convening organizations, government entities and institutions around the state to collaborate in a non-partisan effort to move Arizona to the “top 10” states in informed voter participation.

For more information on the voter engagement project, visit www.oconnorhouse.org or verdevalleyvoterengagement.org.

See my post here on SFD Armegeddon Questioned.

When the SFD Budget goes from $6.6 million in 2002 to $15.9 million in 2009, and we hear there is no room for cuts?

When Hazime, demands and puts the current board "on Notice" that they must get a professional opinion, then attacks the cost of the report he demanded?

When Hazime, Cooperman and Schoen in their most recent mailer criticize the current SFD Board for spending $38,000 on a chief search, which was caused by Hazime's resignation? Maybe they were trying to not make the same mistake twice.

Criticize the current boards spending on legal fees, when Hazimi's quitting caused some, the search for his replacement caused others, and those that oppose the board are allowed to contact the SFD attorneys and bill the SFD?

If you want unchecked and unquestioned spending , vote for Hazimi, Cooperman and Schoen.
