Current flooding in the area of Black Canyon City.

All water ways in and out of the Agua Fria River are affected, including Black Canyon Creek, Big Bug Creek, and Sycamore Creek.

All water ways south of Lynx Lake and Prescott Valley may experience high run off and flooding. At this time dams are full and large debris could release down stream.

Yavapai County Flood control are monitoring the water flows and more information will follow. Staff are in the area of Black Canyon City to asset the situation.

Please avoid flooded areas. If you live in the area and notice high water please seek higher ground immediately.
NEVER drive through flooded roadways. STOP! Turn Around Don’t Drown. The roadbed may be washed out. You can lose control of your vehicle in only a few inches of water. Do not drive around a barricade. Turn around and go another way! Your car may float. Vehicles can be swept away by less than 2 feet of water.
