We cannot imagine this. Thank you for letting us know. We were in a west Sedona and it was the talk of our group and someone pulled up the story on your website. We are sad for Paul. Farewell Phyllis. There is nothing we can say that will ease the pain of her loss to long term friends and husband Paul.

Later we learned more about these neighbors . . . that she was the librarian at the Sedona library way long before Sedona became incorporated and received financial support from local government (the “City” of Sedona). And her husband, Paul, was far more than just the local whiz-kid on geology.

We never did become well acquainted with these solid citizens, but their presence in our at one time close knit community was a constant but unfortunately unsustainable quality of the special years we enjoyed about life in Sedona when we first decided to make this our home.

Sadness at losing anyone under such bizarre circumstances might be better served to send a message that none will be spared. Phyllis was blessed that her journey to another dimension occurred doing one of the things she loved most.
