My tail is at half-mast as an expression of sadness for your loss. However, reading the story of their life tickled my tummy ‘cuz in a way it speaks of my own life in my forever home for the past six years.

As sad as your words are they reflect the comfort and joy you all shared during your time together here on earth. It’s a good thing that you take comfort in knowing they have now crossed over that Rainbow Bridge where they will be waiting for you.

It is with sadness that we tell you of the passing of Cole and Mandy, sometimes commentators to your stories. Both crossed to the land of no electric fences and dog collars to the great meadowland of freedom to run. Cole will play and lounge in the sun all day now and Mandy will run and never have to come home earlier than she wants. They will miss their families forever but know they are held rock solid within hearts.

Cole was always grateful that his family rescued him and that his family’s best friends next door rescued his sister Mandy so they could grow up together after being found as newborns tossed in a box beside the highway. No longer in pain, Cole will be romping with his twin sister Mandy who followed him last Monday, two short weeks later, to the greatest dog meadow in the sky. They couldn’t be without each other ever.

In four paws up loving hearts, Harley, please remember it is good to have you advocating for those that need rescuing. Cole and Mandy and their families shared 13 happy years living side by side. Thank you, Harley McGuire, on behalf of Cole and Mandy.
