We wanted you to be the first to know: The movement has arrived!

After nearly two years of planning and organizing, dozens organizations have come together to tackle the crippling and ever-growing issue of student loan debt in America. With over $1.2Trillion in outstanding educational debt, affecting more than 40 million Americans, StudentDebtCrisis.org has partnered around a simple message: Higher Ed, Not Debt!

Sign up here to join the campaign! http://www.StudentDebtCrisis.org

By adding your name, you’re not just signing up to receive a bunch of emails - that’s not what this campaign is all about. Rather, HigherEdNotDebt is about taking action and for that, we need all the help we can muster. There’s strength in numbers and we know that there are at least 40 million of you ready, willing and able to tackle this problem once and for all!

This new, multi-year campaign is a joint effort by a variety of organizations including: Labor, Non-Profits, Progressive Think Tanks and Grassroots organizations. The campaign is centered around four core principles:

• Providing support to borrowers currently paying off the existing $1.2 trillion of debt;
• Addressing the causes of declining affordability and quality, including changes to state funding and financial aid policies;
• Addressing the role of Wall Street and the growing financialization and privatization of higher education; and
• Civic engagement.

Thank you for your time and support! Now, please click here to join http://StudentDebtCrisis.org in supporting the Higher Ed Not Debt campaign!
