It reported studies finding food items were often more expensive and lesser quality than grocery stores and their presence keeps grocery stores from entering and servicing small communities. Many communities have successfully fought against allowing these stores. I don’t shop in dollar stores or buy things at convenience stores but know people think it’s cheaper when it might not be and they should comparison price with other local stores. I read Bashas was created to answer quality grocery chain requests for Arizona small communities. Hurray Bashas. Appears that Bashas is the shop local leader.
