Sitting on a bench in Uptown? Sedona was not much different than watching monkeys in a zoo except in a zoo the monkeys are in cages or moats. Add a few banners, provide roller skates, charge admission and the banners will be paid for. Then maybe Chamber can give all a raise in $$$$ since they work so hard to think up these really worn out ideas. Sheesh! Goodby Sedona, Hello Flagstaff.

What? Are you kidding me? Fifty thousand dollars for banners for Uptown? Creep Walk – A project that has been rejected at least two times that I know of due to the engineering and flash flood threats. Some of us are aware that Uptown pretty much calls the shots for the majority of Sedonans who do not even live there! IMO, that the Chamber and Main Street need to change their names to “Uptown” Main Street “Uptown” Sedona Chamber of Commerce. Maybe then those residents and businesses in West Sedona may refer to our section of the City as “Downtown.”

Couldn’t agree more. The current sight blight of the light pole banners is bad enough. Now they want to span the streets with them, and at our expense!

Former City bureaucrat, Jodi Filardo, pushed the light pole banners saying they would give Sedona “a sense of place”. Can you imagine? And Council (AKA The Moronic Convergence) was stupid enough to agree. As if the natural beauty here did not create sense of place enough.

What? $50,000 for banners for uptown is no big deal? Tell me, please, what happened with Sedona’s strict sign code, a major reason given for voters to vote “yes” for incorporation. Where is Keep Sedona Beautiful on this issue?

And they did away with the surrey rides because someone thought they were too messy! Ha. I say take down the signs and banners and bring back the ponies with the feed bags at one end and the poop bags at the other end. Clutter, same as beauty, is obviously in the eye of the beholder. KSB? Down with the banners!

anyone care to bet creek-park is moving full speed ahead? luv the comment in Page article about “do you want to pay for what you bought? keep that in mind as you all sit in silence and allow this to happen
