See you at the P&Z meeting Tom? See you at City Council Tom?
Did you comment on line Tom? Not yet? Here's your chance. If you'd read without a preconceived opinion you would have seen that link a dozen places like the first comment here.

Review and comment on the Draft New Plan on-line at: http://www.sedonaaz.gov/planupdate

While I have your attention Tom let it be said that the best coverage of the community plan update is right here under your eyes. Every bit of community plan coverage can be read AGAIN if you will. Ask for community plan! I applaud the editors here. Damn fine work. Sirs let me apologize for some of your hot air readers that speak before thought.

No surprise with Tom's comments. Have been there and done it and it's always the same old same old. Also agree w/M.D. Bottom line #1: this will be on a ballot next March. Pay attention and know what it is you are approving or not approving (not that it much matters because too many future amendments will change the course of the program anyway.)
Bottom line #2: my opinion: waste of time by the alleged elitists, visionaries, dreamers, etc. Out of touch w/reality.

Tom:

Zero public input, are you kidding me????

Over the past 2 years I went to 3 public meetings, some at the middle school some at the life center.

While I didn’t make it to any of the open houses last week, one of my friends did attend. She said that the people at the meeting were very happy to discuss ANY questions that she had and she was told that over 1000 suggestions were gathered during the whole process. That doesn’t sound like zero input, it sounds like someone WAS doing what they were paid for, and quite well, I may add.

It’s so easy to sit back and throw negative comments when you don't know what you're talking about or think that others aren't listening. I read the community plan on line and it’s obvious that our City people went above and beyond trying to get as much input as they could.

Also, the decision ISN’T MADE as you say, if you knew what you were talking about; you would realize that the plan still has a ways to go. It has to be discussed at open hearings with the Planning & Zoning Commission AND THEN presented to City Council all of which, (I believe) that you can throw in your 2 cents. Educated or not.
