No way to know if this was a factor, unless the survivor explains what happened, so we’ll probably never know. No mention of another vehicle being involved.

Such a shame about the driver, way to young to die of a workplace accident (that’s what this was). Shame for the survivor also, as this will be in his memory for a long time – being able to crawl out and the other guy couldn’t.
