We rescheduled our “rained out” event to this Saturday, October 2nd, Heritage Square , from 10AM-2PM. We chose this date because it coincides with the Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge. This is a specific time across Canada , the US , and around the world, when moms will “latch on” their infants and children. It will happen in Heritage Square at 11AM. This “latch on” event is held to increase public awareness of the importance of breastfeeding. I am attaching our flier and providing a link to the Quintessence website, should you wish to research it more. We would really love to have some exposure in announcing and covering our Celebration and Challenge.

“In 2001 the Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge started in the Canadian province of British Columbia with 856 babies and their mothers at 26 sites. By 2009, there were 4,766 babies at 246 sites in 21 countries. The Breastfeeding Challenge continues to grow globally as additional people join in. Breastfeeding and donor milk-banking need support around the world. This year we would like to see the number of participants increase dramatically. Do your part, join us - organize a site - big or small! Every breastfeeding child counts in the final numbers!” http://www.babyfriendly.ca/challenge-home.aspx
