Who in the hell raises delinquents but delinquent parents? Make the parents and kids do mandatory counseling for a year that includes attending every school function and meeting. Put curfews on the kids and the parents; home by 6 PM. Makes parents and kids take anger management classes. Make the kids find work and produce a paycheck that 50% is held in a savings account until the probation is up. Make the parents and kids do mandatory drug tests. They want to go to jail then put them in there for two or three days with the parents. Some hard lessons are due here for these malcontents. No parents then make them join Big Brothers Big Sisters or a mentoring organization like Scouts or church. Give them something to rebel against instead of people. Kids need boundaries.
